Grimble, the captor of Gylfie, secretly tells them that he is disloyal to the Pure Ones and manages to teach them to fly. However, Nyra soon catches them just as they are about to fly away. Grimble then sacrifices himself to allow the owls to fly away seeking the ‘Great Ga’Hoole Tree.’ To warn the mythical Guardians about the Pure Ones plan against them.
